During this Academic session, our teacher Lucy Palmer, started to prepare us for creating a detailed analysis of the movement we see.

Lucy firstly had set us a task to create a short solo, based on how we were feeling at the present moment. Once this was completed, we then had to work in pairs/small groups, and had shared our solos within these groups. We had to write a description of the movement of what our partner(s) had performed for example, 'My partner folded her arms across her chest and folded her torso to her body.'

Once the description was finished, we then had to interpret our partner's work. I had worked on this task with Tilly Geddes, and we both had shared our own short phrases with each other. In turns whilst sharing, we both interpreted each others work by writing down exactly what we saw, being critical in analysis. With this, we created a new phrase of each others pieces, from our notes which incorporated aspects of our own interpretations.

Thereafter, the class had a sharing of work, whereby all partners performed both to Lucy and the other students, and then finished the sharing by explaining how they composed their own interpretation of their partner's work.
